I came across this tweet on my WhatsApp entrepreneur group so came to check out LocalCircles.

My question is small businesses like mine are struggling to survive when 4-5 companies with large pools of capital are competing with us. We will not be giving any salary increases in 2025 and will down size by 20% due to fall in revenue.

How do we cope? more

People are advising in this group to innovate, improve efficiency etc. which is true. Businesses need to evolve over time and keep doing SWOT analysis to be competitive. But government does not have any responsibility to improve this situation by innovating in policies and creating positive environment. Why have we come to this sorry state of economy? more
Stock market domino effect will be felt along with trump tariff and slowdown in USA. When vegetable Delievery guy I’d doing FNO where will be money left for any spend. Modi has won election with rigging PSU stocks now all retail portfolio is bleeding. Best is to to stay calm till festival season. more
Overall business environment is truly gloomy as consumption per capita is not really picking up. Tax burden on an individual restricts expenditure at every households. It's a cycle. Once it gets distorted, sufferings starts. It will be more intense in the coming years. Cutting manpower cost is a very simple way to minimise expenditure but it's a short term measures. It's better to be more innovative to improve productivity and cost through upscaling human capacity and good management practices in the competitive age. more
The product one is selling should be unique where knowledge plays important role and restrict many players to enter this business. more
Nature works in cycles, so there is certainly normal up and down in businesses. We cannot expect the older business methods to work continuously over time. Earlier, poor people had horses and rich people had cars. Now, rich people have horses and the poor have the two wheeler or a small car. Costing also follows this cycle. more
