Prevention from Mosquito Bites
This circle is great initiative of Rotary and Local Circles and I am indeed very happy to see people helping each other with Blood.
Yesterday attending a party I realized that mosquito season is upon us (my first as we only moved to Delhi in Sep last year)
These are the things we are using to save kids from mosquitoes:
Patches, Odomos, All Out and have a couple of rackets at home.
If there is anything else that works better and is natural/ayurvedic, please share with all.
The more we prevent, the less cases of Dengue and the Blood needs we will have. I hear last year was terrible.

thanks for ur encouaging comments.FIND AT LEAST ONE PLACE WITH MOSQUITO BREEDING BESIDES DESERT COOLERS.It is difficult to detect the first site but other sites can be detected easily. more

all mosquitoes breed in stagnant water & so does dengue mosquitoes but where ?U ARE AWARE OF BREEDING IN DESERT COOLERS but that is not the only place .As u are aware that the water in desert coolers is not visible to any one unless one opens its door & looks in to it.Similarly one has to suspect every place where there can be stagnant water like drains even if covered ,water tanks of houses under demolition or under construction.No one wants mosquitoes but there is no one to guide .One has to devote some time to detect breeding in places & then to educate one in or near whose premises the breeding is found.Treatment is just pour few ml of diesel /kerosene/petrol in the stagnant water .If one cannot see the drain water ,make some diesel flow along with water from the place water enters the drain.It will spread on surface of water & kill all larvae if there is hidden breeding. Further every one can see & identify dengue mosquitoes every where in every season.DENGUE mosquito bites in morning but not in a dark place .It bites in lighted areas like people sitting under a tree or in a park or on rickshaw ,taxi stand tea shop ,morning store & u can see them .If u see a mosquito biting some one outside at above mentioned places or so ,beware it is dengue mosquito.Kill it mannually when it sit on some body & see for black streks on its legs to confirm it.Ishall be attaching some pictures of dengue mosquitoes taken by me in my next e mail On Mon, Mar 31, 2014 at 4:11 PM, Naina Mittal wrote: > more

Citronella oil is good --- use a fragrance diffuser with candles and it keeps a lot of mosquitoes out of your home while creating a soothing indoor ambience. The oil and diffusers are now quite easily available more

Well try the use of Camphor (Kapoor) Tabs to be used alongwith the Goodnight or any other Mats. This is very effective and drives the mosquitoes off. Can try and let us know the results. I have been using this method which is cheap nad effective as well. more
