2. Contributions by Members of Cooperative Housing Societies and Residents Association should be exempt from GST without any limit on monthly contribution and overall collection limit of Rs.20 Lakhs. Such contributions are made from the income tax paid money by Members and levy of GST @18% amounts to double taxation and is illegal and unconstitutional. Cooperative Housing Societies are providing services for convenience of members and not for generating profit. For this reason Cooperative Housing Societies were exempted from Service Tax.
3. All products used by women for hygiene purposes e.g. Sanitary Napkins etc. should be exempt from GST.
4. A Price Control Regulatory Authority needs to be set up to check whether Companies are passing on the benefit of Input Tax Credit to the Consumer.
5. It may be necessary to amend the Companies Act to make it mandatory for Companies to disclose in their Annual Reports, cost data of GST paid raw materials used by them for the finished products, being sold by them and input tax credit adjusted in the cost of finished products.
6. GST Act needs to be amended to achieve One Nation One Tax and States should not be allowed to levy additional Tax.
7. All products including Petrol & Diesel should be brought under GST.
8. Even duties such as Stamp Duty, Court Fees etc. should be changed to GST with Uniform Rate all over India. more
