Most of the human being have vested interest in whatever they do, see, write, act etc. etc. but very few think about the country / nation. How many of we the intellectuals have raised concerns / worries when people stood in serpentine lines to buy "DARU". Did anyone asked the price of the dirt they bought. Did any one bought it to pay revenue for nation? How much hypocritical a human being can be. I hope, those who are opposing the increase in the price of Petro products are aware that our nation is forced to spend billions and billions to protect our borders from China. Just think of our JAWANs, leave alone on the side the politicians for the time being, please for Nation's sake. more
The aggregate revenue for the Govts. have significantly dropped owing to prolonged lockdowns. It has therefore become a compulsion to boost the revenue in whichever large consumption commodities. Yes , agree the Consumers are suffers . Is there any alternatives ? more
When the International crude price is at low level, there should not be any increase in the petroleum prices. It is only due to the increase in the rate of VAT and Excise duty imposed by state government and Central government. To meet the revenue deficit faced by the state and central government due to COVID19, is being extracted from public and more particularly from fuel price, which is not rational, but irregular. Let the financial deficit be met from additional taxes from the people, either voluntarily or by increasing the tax on luxury items. more
Increase in petrol and diesel prices are of great concern and the Govt must give a clarification for the cause of increase. This has a cascading effect on the daily necessities and specially so when the entire economy is in a state of uncertainty. Loss of jobs, loss in business, loss in bank interest have already created a hole in the pockets and therefore at this moment unexplained increase in diesel and petrol prices have increased the burden of common people beyond limit. more
MAximum price increase is in Delhi only and it is due to providing free Electricity and water. Diesel price also become higher than petrol in Delhi only. more
