It clearly shows 7 in 10
Households are paying 25-100% more for on a weekly basis.

If the Government doesn’t care about this and intervene so price corrections happens within a week, then they are useless from a common man’s perspective. more

Actually a combination of reasons. our fam production is good. The vegetable prices have going up steadily and now particularly sky rocketed. * Steady increase: due to transport charges hike - result of steady fuel charge hike. * Middlemen grab the profits. As Mr. Adiyodi mentioned farmer gets Rs. X for vegetable end customer pays 2X PLUS. * compare prices 5 years back to now: Most widely consumed vegetables on a daily basis are, Onion, Tomatoes and Potatoes. 5 years back These costed between Rs.25 and 30. These have gone up to 60 and 70. Other fresh Indian vegetables like Brinjal, bottle Goads Rs.3o to 35 Now 70 to 80 . English vegetables like Beans carrot Rs. 40 to over Rs. 100. This is all too big an increase for common man. It is the responsibility of the government to control. more
When Govt is giving so much relief to Farmers, then why can't Govt ask them to reduce Agri Produce prices in return? more
Hello, Pl. see who is controlling Agricultural Market , which political parties. They want Election fund for assembly & other activities. It is the easiest way to get the money from their middlemen s. Hence they fight under Farmer Protest . Have anybody analysed ? more
Mr. Narendra Modi is responsible for price hike, this is what a minister in the state government told media personnel when they asked him about increase in prices. more
Those middle men and contractors are responsible for price hike. Govt machinery must hold them, raid them. Prices will come down. I know in my town jn coimbatore farmer sells for brinjal 20 but when it reaches the shop it's 40-45! Imagine. Raid the mm more
