We have to be very serious on this issue,, that is how to control on pollution in Delhi.. Its more in our hands,, provided we have will power to do so.. Jai Hind.. Jai Bharat Maa.. Regards to all members.. more
Just as Lab Tests were done on Animals for a cure or to experiment on them for medicine, similarly both Center & Delhi Government have embarked on a Joint Exercise to reduce Population by throwing whole lot of public in experiment lab of Delhi Pollution. People exposed to pollution may suffer long but for Center, Unity is more important a celebration for Sardar Patel whose Statue built at a cost of Rs.3,000 Crores had to be unveiled in Gujarat and the cascading effect was to come down to Delhi so the show of strength. TOI had a front page picture of a West Bengal batsman playing with a pollution mask in Ranji Match in Delhi. And by diktat the Center is able to rope in Dipa Karmakar & many other Athletes to Run for Unity and disrupt the traffic. Mixed priorities indeed. more
Its control on quality of cars plying on road, through strict enforcement of PUC and revision of pollution standards effectively, so also increase green cover and plant more trees in reality. In addition vacuum cleaning for road cleaning and air cleaning towers also required to be installed and put to use on urgent basis to save Delhi and may be lessons must be taken from major Chinese towns, which had higher pollution then Delhi, but able to control it better JAGO DELHI JAGO more
Public transport costlier in India. Affordable public transport only resolve issue. Traveling 4-5 people in a car cost less compared to metro. For Group Travel public transport cost more then private. Last mile connectivity is a Problem in Delhi NCR more
In India people having many cars and having enough un account ted money just cannot think of using public transport like metro even if it saves their time. They feel below status . Unless this mindset is changed things would not improve. Government also is part of this. Let them decide to stop giving depreciation on purchase of cars for just five years , demand of come down instantly. But is nothing short of belling the cat. Govt would loose revenue, businessmen will go for bharat Band, Car manufacturer would cry and so would Insurance firms. Most of these people buy car every three years . It is not need based. This Saves tax and has better status in society. Who cares for nation or society. Handful few .. more
