Private Doctors Clinic loot

Attached is a typical chart one finds at doctors clinics where they make you buy vaccines from them only (40% margins)
Can the govt make some rules to stop this loot. Many are charging 600-1500 as consultation on top the vaccine profiteering. If there are rules, it will really help patients. The attached is from a typical middle class clinic. more

In fact, the doctors are the worst sufferers in the system. After having a study for minimum period of 10-12 years spending lakhs of rupees on their study including expensive fees, expensive books etc, they do not get proper jobs, face the corrupt practices prevailing in the appointments of doctors and then not having proper work atmosphere and over and above are facing wrath of the people when somebody die during the treatments. People start slapping the doctors as no security is provided in the hospitals. How Doctors can guarantee the life of any one. If they are in a position to guarantee the life then all the people would get admitted into the hospital for "never die" situation. The chances of negligence could not be over ruled but is it right to start slapping the doctors left and right. Why some one do not slap the advocates on loosing the case in the court of law. Why the public do not follow the system in case they feel there has been negligence in the treatment instead of taking over the rule of law in their hand. I feel if the doctors are prescribing for lab test, they also have to safe guard their skin from getting implicated in the cases at later stages. I personally feel there is nothing wrong in treatments based on test reports. more
Madam I never said selling of medicine. In fact the doctors should not sell any medicine at all. What I said was about consultation fee. more
So doctors can sell vaccine at any price?? more
As far as charging of consultation fee is concerned, the doctors are free to charge whatever fee they feel. How could someone can control on the fee and why only the question on doctors fee when advocates charge lakhs of rupees for attending to the hearing that too whether the hearing take place or does not take place. What about fee of Chartered Accounts. Do we have control on the fee being charged by medical colleges. The clinics should not compel the patient to buy the medicines from their stores. However, it is a general practice that the doctors prescribe the medicines which are available in their vicinity which is an unfair practice. more
The govt must immediately initiate proceedings to have the licenses of these doctors cancelled. more
India has an Open Market Economy and Prices are as per Demand & Supply !! In South Delhi's Big Colonies like Vasant Vihar, Doctors charge 600-1500 as a Physician and 2000-4000 as a Specialist whereas in South Delhi's Smaller Colonies like Vasant Kunj, they charge 300-600 only .. it is even lower in the Lal Dora Areas like Kishangarh & Mahipalpur !! One could visit Doctors who charge More or charge Less as per his/her own choice & decision. I agree with Shishir Kant that it is best we leave it to the Doctor's Discretion to fix Prices .... more
Rotary can organize Vaccination camps for families . It will be good initiative . RWA can also take initiative . Let them not limited to Holi Milan . more
NPPA was doing excellent work and had capped prices of stents and other devices and implants. However, the Government has withdrawn the powers of the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority and now it is just a nominal regulatory authority and has no power to fix prices of the drugs and formulations. This according to news report on 6th June 2018. more
