Private Practices for Public Places - Cleanliness

Mr. Mahen Patle has raised an important point asking how Government can deploy private standards/systems of cleanliness deployed in high foot fall places like malls, theaters, etc in public places like stations, Government buildings, municipal markets, events, etc.

We seek everyone's inputs on what are the core practices from private industry that can be adopted for cleanliness of public places.

We look forward to your inputs!

the machinery does not have so many police personnel or railway police to take care of these clean environs. what can be best achieved is by educating the public at large. many posters / wall paintings on stations, (sponsored by organisations), with the support of the other public as well (who are nearby and see such untidy behaviour), guiding them about the benefits of cleanliness would make a difference. Public at large should not remain unconcerned for our nation to progress on such issues. there are even be some groups (esp retired, students, etc.) who can volunteer and devote two-three hours for such causes, as these measures can be effective if taken up as a group rather than as individuals. more
