Privatisation of Railway
I wish to have members view on privatisation of Railway.
Railway employees will certainly fight tooth & nail to prevent privatisation, but can 5 lacs employee's voice downplay the need of 125 crore people more

Ministry of Railway stop this useless drama.... 90% railway employees do not report on duty.. they pay bribe to supervisor and get the salary without doing any work.. 1st of all put all such employees in Jail and forfeit their all property and recover the salary paid to them... !!! more

Dear all, All respected members , May I request to please read the underlying line and post your comments Appraisal system:: There is need to overhaul appraisal system in vogue. Carrot for performers and stick for non-performers should be introduced. The present system leaves no room for rewarding good workers . A fixed percent increase in wages based on pay commission recommendation is based on the assumption that all workers are equal performers should be done away with a system whereby performers are rewarded . Appraisal should be based on performance . more

Railways is a national pride and privatization is not a solution. We should see that how it can be efficiently and professionally run. more

Before you look at privatization you should look at other railways and see how it works,I have worked on the railway in UK for 30 years I was happier under national railways,and in the UK the unions and some MP's want it back national,this is a mistake to say it is like airline's or telecommunications, When it came in I saw under BR,it broke up in to parts and become Railtrack,that went bust, look on line and see how much the UK pumps money in to the railway to keep it private, more
