Why is Congress gung ho about Priyanka gaining the control over UP Congress and its dubious affairs. Who are the leaders supporting this move and why? Is it the right time for Varun to step in. more

It is really a sad commentary on an over hundred year old party. It is despicable to see Congressmen fawn over Gandhi's feet. I am surprised that even Sharad Pawar does not see the need to break away. I wonder if the situation would have been the same if Sonia was a 'brown' person (Indian) instead of 'white'! Does not one Congressman have the spine to say that we want another leader! The media has already started their anti-govt. propaganda, and god help this country if the Gandhis are to regain power! Incidentally Mahatma Gandhi was not a member of the Congress Party at the time of his death, I think! more

Disgusting to see the party Congress is unable to think beyond Gandhi! Slavery is in the blood which is an answer for such act. Hope BJP will not do the similar mistake of introducing another one with the Gandhi as tagin BJP! more

Congress has got great history .Great Leaders like Nehru, Indira Gandhi. Rajiv Gandhi , Lal Bahadur Sastri were with congress for decades and they sacrificed their lives for our country and offcourse Gandhiji was exceptional. People have got lot of fashination with congress. I was with Congress I from 21 years old (1967) till 2013 Dec and entered into with Modiji's inspiration during his election speeches and 2014 elections. Because of my afection with Indiraji, I studied MBA from Indira Gandhi OPen University.Family members do not leave so easily Congress because of their defeat in the last elections . Congress party will bring new blood/new leaders like Priyanka Gandhi . BJP should honestly& sincerely work and try for corruption free Govt and party and fulfill thier promises as announced in 2014 elections and thier election manifesto and eleminate poverty and uplift citizens of India.God will help for honest, truthful ,sincere, hard working( best) people. I think, the members of Congress party think that, there is no life for them in politics without a Gandhi surname leading them. They know that Rahul Gandhi leading them din't work to bring the votes during the last 5 years. Hence their best bet would be to beg Priyanka to lead them. They will try this for the next 7-10 years and if that also fails then, by that time the chotta Vadra would have become 18 years and then, they will fall at his feet to lead them. Off course they will name that Vadra kid as XXX Gandhi or XXXX Vadra Gandhi. It is disgusting to note that a party that is a 100 years old has to resort to a Gandhi. The leaders in the Congress party have become so impotent that they feel that they are not capable on taking the leadership of the party. I feel that this party should wind up and save the honor of the remaining 20% or so Congress supporters. more

Priyanka is now Vadra and it is unlikely that she would be able to influence public mind in the same manner as she used to as Gandhi. more
