Problems facing customers at Dwarka Sector 6 and Sector 10 markets

I want to draw attention towards the lack of parking space for customers at Sector 6 and 10 markets. The position becomes worse in the evenings when customers from the sectors and nearby areas come for purchases and eating out. So the customers have no option but to park their vehicles on the side lanes and side of the main roads. The police toe small vehicles such as Alto, Maruti 800 etc and rarely venture to pick up bigger vehicles because they also fear that picking bigger cars can be counter productive for them. So identified parking space is the need of the hour.
Another problem facing customers in these markets is that shopkeepers have occupied the entire corridors and area in front of their shops. So no space is left for the customers who come to these markets to shop. It is clear that the shop keepers are hand in clove with the local police and the authorities who keep a blind eye towards this problem.

The authorities should take necessary action in this regard. more

Mr Hari rem Malik, thanks for your opinion, but I think you have not understood me. In case we oppose the hawkers to stand on improper place for which we suffer, the problem may be solved, but we never oppose and allow the hawkers to sit anywhere. more
I disagree with Mr Lakshmi Narayan Bhatia. The hafta is collected by a Police constable from a vender etc and a normal resident is not in the picture. So there is no question of we closing our eyes. In the rarest of the rare case we can oppose collection of hafta if it is being collected in our presence. But in that case also if the giver is ready to give and the receiver is ready to receive we have no role to play. A normal resident citizen has no power to take any action against the giver and receiver of hafta. Only Govt can devise some method in which some selected residents can be given powers to challan or submit report to some competent authority against the culprits. The problem can be addressed by simplification of procedures where if permission to do an activity is simplified and no exception to that is allowed come what may. Then either the vender now giving hafta will have legal legitimacy or he will not be able to carry out the activity in any case even after giving hafta. more
hafta is athe main proble, but if we the residents of sarroudning area oppose it hafta wala can' vasool hafta, but we keep aour iyes closed towards our problems and allow the hafta wala's. more
Three Cheers for Mr. L.N.Bhatia....Really you have suggested the right solution but I would have appreciated and supported the point raised by Mr. H.P.Malik (Sr. Citizen). Need is the proper/controlled parking space for the residents of Dwarka whether it is done by MCD, MP or by your efforts. Same problem is faced at Happy Homes Society, Sector 8, Dwarka. For every pickup by the private crane engaged by Delhi Police, operator gets Rs. 200.00 and fine of Rs. 100.00 for Wrong Parking where as it is not. Fruit stall are erected right on thesame road are never disturbed as they pay the Policewala their HAFATA. more
it is the problem of municipal corporation not parliament member. the parking space may be small but if the neraby people come by walk, it will solve the problem. more
