PRODUCTION OF PILLOW COVERS RAPIDLY INCREASING IN TAMIL NADU

A differently abled person who lives in rural area and makes his living by stitching blouses says that his income is increasing and he gets lot of orders for pillow covers these days.

Tamil Nadu government gives sarees to the women from lower income group as part of freebie . Most of the poor women do not want to wear these sarees , as they shrink at least by 6 inches after one wash. Therefore, many sell these gifted sarees at very low price.

The above differently abled person buys these sarees at ridiculously low price and then makes pillow covers which are also sold at low price.

A new source of income for tailors in Tamil Nadu.

Inside Tamilnadu, there are many places where rains are abundant and never miss a season. In such places, the govt should ensure such water is stored for supply to other needy areas. Via Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act ... mgnrega, the state can construct big Tanks and hold these waters. In quarry areas also the Govt can attempt to store water. As far as for dirnking, Every district near the sea should have a desalination plant to cater the public. Let the Govt go to the "Raja " era and find how they created "Taalab" for storing water and also identified ground water in dry lands, later to be converted into a pond, etc, mainly to cater to themseves and the people, as most of the kingdom was not by the side of any river, lake or sea. more
I think my friends here are either misunderstanding or misinterpreting the term "freebies". If the farmers get reasonable income from their farming activity, then we don't need any support. For your information, if you compare the prices and salaries right from 1950, you should buy tomatoes at Rs 200 per kilo now. Will you be ready for it? more
Freebees should be stopped immediately. more
Tamil Nadu GOVT SHOULD IMMEDIATELY STOP THIS PRACTICE OF DISHING OUT FREEBIES TO THE TN PEOPLE AS MUCH OF THESE FREEBIES NEVER SERVE THEIR INTENDED PURPOSE BUT ONLY MAKE THE INTERMEDIARY MAKE EXTRA MONEY. THE FREE RICE IS MOSTLY FOREGONE BY THE RATON CARD HOLDERS. THE RATION SHOP OWNERS SHOW THE UNDISTRIBUTED RICE AS "DELIVERED" AND THEN SELL THIS RICE TO THE BIG GROCERIES. THE GROCERS MAKE RICE FLOUR OUT OF THIS RICE AND SELL AT HIGH PRICES AND MAKE SUBSTANTIAL PROFITS. HAVE PERSONALLY BEEN WITNESS TO THE FREE FANS, MIXIES AND WET GRINDERS BEING SENT ACROSS BORDERS AND BEING SOLD AT DECENT PROFITS BY POLITICALLY WELL CONNECTED TRADERS. IN FACT, IT WOULD BE NICE IF TN HIGH COURT OR THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA PASSES A DIRECTIVE THAT "ALL SUCH FREEBIES SHOULD BE FROM THE RESPECTIVE PARTY'S FINANCES AND NOT FROM PUBLIC MONEY"..!!.. more
