Profiteering by Airtel DTH

I am an Airtel prepaid DTH subscriber. Once the deposit becomes zero they disconnect the telecast.

Now as I am out of home due to pandamic I told them to stop the telecast to save the money I have already pre paid them.

However they are asking me to pay Rs 30 per 30 days and Rs 100 for 90 days.

Why should we pay when they do not telecast? It us two much.

Further when the number of days increases instead of reducing the charges they are asking extra money.

Secondly they do not have a voice discussion facility to explain and stop the service. Due to which though I am not using the service I am being charged by them. more

This is absolutely true. There is nobody to listen to. As you said they have not provided any facility to discuss verbally all / or any problems face to face. It is one side tract, take it or drop it. Somebody has told me, even TRAI is not helping us, and they always siding service providers only. Same is true of TataSky. I had a lot of discussion with the customer care people. The only answer from them was "i am sorry for your inconvenience, we will forward your problems to the higher authorities" and so on. But they are on with their nefarious activity. I do not know which country we are living in. Only God works here! more
All DTH service providers are sailing in the same boat. The DTH Service providers in the market were providing their services till 2019 at very competitive and reasonable rates as there had been race among them to reach each house holds by offering maximum number of channels keeping the price within every ones reach. But the unfortunate interference of the TRAI during 2019 and fixing up of the price for each channel with a minimum of Rs.130.00 pm for each subscriber even for the free channels shoot up DTH subscriptions almost twice of the existing cost in one shot and the profiteering begun therefrom. The arbitrary action of the TRAI was totally uncalled for and condemnable. more
they are charging 150 for minimum for not giving any paid channel more
sir just like house rent this is just a contract between you and Airtel for no. of days whether you use it or not. Actually all business runs on same principle. more
