The point is did the price increase when the GST was raised to 28% - NO so then it does not fall under profiteering simple elementary Mr Watson! more

It is obvious now that all the companies are engaged in profiteering under the shade of GST. Therefore, to assist the concerned government agencies in initiating punitive action against such companies, select a few one and lodge complain against them forwarding the required application form recently circulated by the department in the Local Circle, duly filled in supported by the required documentary evidence, as specified and closely follow them up for appropriate action, instead of reporting every day a new case in the Circle. If any one sincerely wants that appropriate punitive action be initiated against those engaged in the illegal trade practice of profiteering, the stipulated system as clarified here has to be followed. Only referring new such cases every day in the Circle's post would serve no purpose. If appropriate action is taken at least against a few ones at the first instance, that will certainly compel others for fair business. more

one needs to see the date of manufacturing or import to understand what should be the GST. Looks like from july to nov which is a full 5 months duration and unless they are old stocks and manufacturer trying to push them off which is wrong the GST should be reduced there is not doubt about it. more
