Profiteering by milk vendors in TN
In Mumbai I get the cow milk brand name "Nandini" at Rs 19.50 per half litre which is printed on the pouch. That is Rs 39 per litre. No additional cost is taken by the vendor.
When I purchased the same quantity of half litre milk Bran "Tamil pall" in Tiruvidaimarudur I was charged Rs 25 for half litre and Rs 50 per litre.
The printed rate is Rs 21 in the half litre pouch. A profit of Rs 8 per litre.
No one is questioning. When the Government changes Rs 50 paisa as a GST every one shout.
Is this profit of Rs 8 per litre in TN justified? more

If they provide overpriced invoice then, you can go to consumer court for unfair trade practices. more

There is a law that no identical product or same brand can not have dual MRP. Secondly if a vendor has charged overand above than MRP, it falls under unfair trade practices. You can file complaint in consumer court for both asa a right of consumer under Consumer Protection act. JAGO GRAHAK JAGO more

One most important thing is to ask vendor for invoice for sale of the product. more
