Again, it was only on Sunday, the 10th of May that news of Railways resuming some trains on Tuesday, the 12th was circulated in Press and Media; tickets could be booked on-line only after 4 pm. One hears of all trains having been fully booked, within 12 hours or so. Now, this is a first-time wonder. How come the Internet and on-line booking of tickets did not work so efficiently in the past years? News on the TV is that Railways want passengers to arrive 90 minutes prior to departure of train, and that no food/sheets etc will be served en route. Meaning, passengers to bring own food and bed-inventory. Members of this group, however, have several justified questions/suggestions. Let's hope it's not again one of those stop-gap arrangements, so often observed, where the organisers would not know how to handle situations that might arise during those travels. To be prepared for exigencies is the best part of organisation !! more
