Protocol for Coronavirus in Railways

I would like to know from Railways Minister or Chairman, what is the protocol if I board a train and one of the passengers is badly coughing sneezing in my compartment, right in front of me.

Don't you think in such scenarios, the patient should be quarantined? Or do you expect normal passengers to get off the train.

Please do advise. This is important. Why shouldnt there be a mechanism for this.

Passengers to report to TTE or Train Manager and they have to sort the issue. more

For such an enormous network of train we should not expect every thing from our government. As a responsible citizen self precaution is the way out i.e. if anyone has fiver, cough etc. should not under take the journey unless cleared by a medical doctor and must carry a clearance certificate during the journey. The Covid-19 situation is worse than some people joked about a few days ago but you can't just isolate any person who is coughing and sneezing. The screening idea is nice but are we aware how many railway stations are there in India considering India has the biggest railway network in world and how fast can the govt. or Rail Min accommodate such screeners at all stations. Providing a medical officer in each train doesn't look viable either. The people should themselves get checked if the health is not well. Railways started circulating message to all its passengers that they should refrain from travel if they are ill. I had fever and cough. I went to see a doctor and the fever is gone. Not all cases are COVID-19 one. Take caution while you travel either by Air, Rail or Bus. more
Doctor should be made available at all stations to test such passengers . Railways should create whatsapp groups of passengers( , train wise),to report such cases or any serious events.,to guard more
Railway should gear up health staff to deal with Covid19.Separate room /ward is to be provided away from platforms. more
