Proud to be a LocalCircles member

All members of LocalCircles, the attached Hindu article was shared with me by my son’s school principal saying that atleast someone isnt afraid to speak up and if any one knew the LocalCircles organisation to bless them.

I had tears in my eyes and said to him that I was a member. He is 65 and deeply concerned about the way the teenagers in our country are going and according to him parents are responsible for gadget and substance addiction in children.

I looked up the full survey report online

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/children-gadget-addiction-india

Which I somehow had missed among all the email communications.

Please go through and share link with your school whatsapp groups and esp principal teachers and co-parents. Only when all stakeholders work on this problem, we will see progress

Glad this is being taken up more
One should not wish away technology. Some of these things are going to stay. rather than making it a bone of contention, innovative thought and action is needed whereby technology is used for advantage. Merely trying to be an impediment or to prevent technology is not going to work. Our lives have changed. We must accept it graciously and make the best of it. 65 + year old people are not examples for an younger generation. We cant go back in time. more
Good to introduce. How ? . Because Parents should first set example. more
The only way a parent can enforce is to follow these things themselves. Parents themselves should refrain from using these. More than words or threats, what works most with children is when they set an example. Reading the newspaper, watching TV all the time etc will make the children also do the same. more
