Proxy Voting of residents in owners association
West Bengal Appartement Ownership Bye-laws clause 4(9)(a) states:-
All questions which may come up before any general meeting shall be decided by a majority of the members present and voting,.....
Moreover clause 9(b) also states:- Votes shall be cast in person.
As I understand, both of these clause do not allow a member to authorise some other resident to vote on behalf of the member unable to attend the meeting.
More precisely, the bye-laws 4(9)(a) &(b) do not allow "Proxy Voting" in a general meeting.

every owners has personal openion,no body can not proxy but a family members in the same property .single owners can vote obesly on behalf of them but he/she should carry concent from the registered owners. more

Proxy voting should be allowed with safe guard, eg producing with authority letter with proof of identity of the authorising person and the proxy holder more
