Punishment for Child Rape

Uma ji and others:

Seems like Delhi has joined the league as well per new reports and announced Death Penalty for Child Rape. I think Kejriwal Govt has resolved and are making a submission to LG who I hope clears it.

Every one in this circle should be please raising the issue with their state Govt I feel and I think if you have your CMs contact send petiton link to them. https://bit.ly/2HoZZjW

Why is Indian Police Foundation so inactive on the cause. Are they not a supporter of something so important???? more

Yes, Ms.Seema shah, I understand the feelings behind the post. Please understand that there is death penalty for any murder (that is " rarest of rare" cases), be it rape or otherwise. Now what you want is to award death penalty for "child rape" and I wonder what is the difference between 'child rape' 'adolescent rape' young girl rape' 'married women rape' 'rape of aged lady' etc. In my view all rapes are cruel and brutal. You have seen 80 year old woman being raped and 5 year child being raped! I think both should be treated equally and maximum punishment should be awarded. But there is no provision in the existing Acts (Indian Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code). If death penalty is to be added, the Acts have to be amended. Though rape and attempt to rape are cruel and brutal, we cannot take law into our hands, like the suggestion made by Mr.D.Ramesh. (you can see the example of the swami in Kerala, whose penny was chopped off by the girl, when he attempted to rape her). The present status of the case is 'still pending". So, any act in self defense can be an alibi. If you want to see that capital punishment is to be awarded to rape culprits, we have to make a serious movement with full support of the public. One CM or 10 CMs cannot amend the IPC or Cr.PC. It has to be taken up in the Parliament. We can try for that. All the best. more
What about the influential Politicians who preform rape and get away with rape more
Administration of justice is more important than enacting laws. There is urgent need to effect judicial reforms. India is being run of out dated laws and work culture. All rape cases should be decided within 6 months without any involvement of Advocates who try to delay and derail the justice delivery by fabricating proofs and winning over the victims/witnesses. There is no provision to cancel/suspend the Licence of Advocates who indulge in un-ethical practices. The judges are not accountable for any delay or wrong judgement. If an Advocate is successful in winning the case in favour of the real accused by using all possible un-fair means, he turns out to be a leading/export Advocate. more
Our constitution is so .Pleased punishment. Hence all happens when severely done eg tie the culprit legs hand seperate in air spread big ants. See his suffer then every one should monitor this makes all of us not to commit sin but india pleases saying he will become ok if he is been forgiven . This sot of punishment will increase sin in today's media and importing western culture more
Today's life scenario is dynamically changing towards negative activities and crime rate including child rape is taking a steep climb. Stringent most punishment is called for with strict compliance to deter / discourage people from such shameful disastrously acts. Just think of the physical & worst mental trauma the victim has to undergo whole life . more
