Pvt.Ltd. Company is not following the rules
I'm working (joined the organisation 4 mths ago) as an administrative executive in a pvt.ltd. company at Pune, Maharashtra. The company is service provider in IT field (i.e providing networking solutions). The director of the company is not approving the public holidays and leaves to employees. He said only 3 national holidays and 21 days of paid / privilege leave will be assigned to every employee. From this 21 days PL he will deduct 5 days against the Diwali vacation so every employee can get total 16 days of leave this year. He will not give other public holidays like dassera, gudhi padwa (New year), ganesh chaturthy, holi etc. Please any one guide me about exact rules & regulations for the holidays and leave rules. I showed the rules of Bombay Shop & Establishment act, but there only 3 national holidays and 21 days of PL are mentioned. Is there is any rule related to the public holidays,national holidays, CL & PL for pvt.ltd. company? Also guide what action could i take against the company if they didn't agree for the rules? more
