Query related to Video recording- Important
I checked with camera company to get CCTV installed on our main gate and in drawing room.
We can see recording on LCD TV. This camera company told that they can configure IP address on laptop, so that we can see the recording over internet even when we are out of town. It will have username and password.
and later we can change the password. Which is ok.
My question is
Recording is saved on our Hard disk, but where this password is saved? is this saved on internet servers or on our local hard disk?
They will know our IP address, Can they get to know the password also?
I didn't ask him, as first want to know and understand from this forum? more

Thanks Mahesh ji for sharing this. You are right, recording is saved on Hard disk that came with Camera and DVR. Its set of Cameras + DVR + HDD. I thought it will be very costly setup, Infact this service provider has given whole unit in very economic rates , compared to other service providers quotes. Let me check for 2-3 days how it works, then will rate this service provider and all details. more

We have installed CCTV in our society.They can configure IP address on Laptop & you can see live as well as recordings.The recording is not done on our Hard Disc but on the Hard Disc of CCTV. The pass word will be saved on our Laptop & they will never come to know untill unless u tell them. more
