M/s Ranjit Biswas & Anita N have raised very valid points. If the consumer has to do all the tests etc "AFTER BUYING AND/OR CONSUMING THE FOOD" ....What do we need the FSSAI for.??.. JUST TO DRAW FAT SALARIES AND WHILE AWAY TIME....!!!.. In fact We can do without this organisation. In USA, the FDA does the job of TESTING AND ENFORCE FOOD LAWS. In case of any consumer Grievance, they investigate and bring in Definite Conviction of the accused AND NONE IS SPARED. THEY HAVE ACQUIRED SO MUCH CREDIBILITY THAT MANUFACTURERS SHIVER IF THERE IS ANY INVESTIGATION ON THEM BY FDA...WHY CAN'T OUR FSSAI DO THAT...???.. more
