Rail Safety accepted as top Budget priority

We are pleased to share that Railways has accepted Safety as the top priority as identified via the poll in this circle. 47% of those who voted, voted for Safety as top Railway priority.

As announced in the Budget, for passenger safety, a ‘Rashtriya Rail Sanraksha Kosh’ will be created with a corpus of Rs.1 lakh crores over a period of 5 years, to be funded by seed capital from the Government, Railways’ own revenues and other sources.

Railways will lay down clear cut guidelines and timeline for implementing various safety works to be funded from this ‘Kosh’. Unmanned level crossings on Broad Gauge lines will be eliminated by 2020. Expert international assistance will be harnessed to improve safety preparedness and maintenance practices.

Thanks again for your regular inputs. We are striving to make Indian Railways safer with your participation! more

In ail Safety attention of railways on one more issue is to be taken note of. That is Drunken Driving . As the number of passengers involved will be close to 2,000 and the damage to railway will be crores , and the nuisance and delay caused due to accident will be irreparable. Railways should have sufficient facilities * Check Drunken driving * Have standby loco pilots in case one is found intoxicated. * Counselling program for the loco pilots . AND SAVE RAIL PASSENGER LIVES AND RAIL PROPERTY. more
For safety, they have introduced Insurance, which will benefit the Insurance company. The total collection through Insurance premium of Rs. 0.92 paise is 100 times more than the average amount that is required to pay due to accident. more

Much needed. Appreciations to our Railway Minister. On 3 Feb 2017 4:31 p.m., "Ministry Of Railways" < support@localcirclesmail.com> wrote: > more
While we talk rail safety, I thought to add something which we passengers encourage the most. Dear Citizens I request you to go through this files which I have send to the ministry in a seperate email. Please please please discourage non-irctc vendors and bring it to the notice of the TT on board. You will also see how the catering contrator CCI conveniently loaded only 24 bottles of water for a total passenger strength of 1400. This only tells that the Catering contractor is hand in glove with Non-irctc vendors. https://we.tl/5KH9Dac9ps ttps://we.tl/Jpm9hmB4pR Regards more
