Rail tkts to be expensive closer to travel date
Hi All
We all know that cost of railway tickets get expensive closer to travel date. But why should it be so. I dont find any logic. Why penalise some one just because they book their tickets a little later than others? This is pure exploitation similar to what airlines do.
If the government wants funds, they can start a scheme where in we can book open tickets and confirm the date later. The Railways should ensure that such tickets are confirmed. If the need be they should keep extra coaches in important locations and attach and detach as per requirements. If they face the problem of having a short platform, they should have a pantry which should cater for water and food of persons in coaches not coming on to the platform. In fact there are many poor people who are travelling in general compartments. They constitute actual India. Why cant we ensure every one gets a birth.
