Railway Connectivity

Think of a better Connectivity in India.
First of all it is necessary to start trains in each of the long distance route.
Each of the cities in India should be connected with trains.
You can select the days in which long route trains will run between every cities in India.
Do your job properly and impartially.
We want explanation on which basis trains are not running between every cities in India.
We also want explanation on which basis trains are only running between certain cities or States in India.
Your job is not to support any particular individual or group.
Railway Connectivity is to support everyone in our country, who needs to travel for a purpose in this Unlock phase. more

Government run operations can never be as successful as public and private partnership. For the sake of good railways and other transport India needs to bring more private in it. more  
I can point some routes / trains which may help passengers: 1. ASR- HWH route: one biweekly (durgiana exp spl.) train is running. But It would have been better if ASR-HWH mail special was running or added as more stations would get connected and this train is via Patna jn, covering the main line of MGS-HWH section. 2. NDLS-DDN section: while janshatabdi is running, one more train could help better. Either Yoga exp spl ( HW-ADI) or NDLS-DDN shatabdi could be considered. 3.HHW-CSTM/ HWH-ADI route: trains are not stopping at TATA. This does not make sense as trains from Delhi are stopping ( both Purhottam and BBS rajdhani). Hence CKP and TATA stoppages should be restored. 4. NDLS- MMCT: rajdhani is not stopping at BVI and this means passengers from suburban areas going to MMCT. No locals either. This makes a hey day for taxis. This stop should also be restored. 5. DEE/DLI- JU: one train runs on alternate days. It would be better if Mandore exp is restored either in addition or replacing the existing arrangement. That will restore daily service. Incidentally, Suryanagri exp (JU-BDTS) is running daily and this train has rake sharing with Mandore exp. 6. more  
This post depicts the lesser knowledge people have regarding railway operations in these times. In these times , there are many restrictions on Railway, Many of the coaches have been converted into isolation units and placed at various places around the country. Than they have to operate Shramik Specials for those who want to go back to there workplace. Further, Full rakes of 20 coaches each are being used as parcel train, Kisan Train to transport essential goods and Agriculture production. Coaches are limited and a limited reserve of coaches is needed to compensate any failure in any of the coaches. For all the above reasons,trains can only start gradually, not at once and it is getting started in phases. They are running special trains due to technological and operational reasons as if those trains runs with normal numbers and schedule than whole system will need a change and than it will again need to be changed when normal operation resumes. New Special trains are being introduced after every few days. more  
Good ideas/questions. May be it is time for someone to submit a RTI (Right To Information) to IR. more  
Railway is run by bosses and supported by good number of unproductive staff without brain. The facility as was available during "British Raj" is continuing to be provided to the bosses. Railway officials lack proper planning and far away from the expectations of the common people. more
