Railway can use technology to track the use of pass to employee and family. This will stop misuse of such passes. more

Rly passes to rly employees are misutilised. They travel n-number of times and no entry made with collusion with their employee who is authorised to check it. Besides, in local travel they come and sit any vacant reserved seat, even at night. TT do not have the proper control. Safety point of view for co-passengers, this should be recorded and taken consent from other passengers. Some times in one seat, more than one person occupy disturbing reserved passengers travelling long distances. more

rly passes for rly employees is a legacy right from british raj.so it is very difficult to stop issue passes to employees/retired employees.one inovative way to reduce rly passes is to keep record of passes issued which is avl wth rly.emplees using less nos of passes than entitled should be reduced entitlement systematically which will systematically reduce issue of free passes without any uproar. more
