Safety & Security in trains Improve the quality of Food in the trains. This can be a money spinner if handled properly. Stop unnecessary wastage of Mineral Drinking water in Duronto trains as it is provided Free. I suggest sell it at a nominal cost to avoid the wastage. Tatkal Quota should be limited & reduced. People booking in advance should get priority. Also, time window for advance booking should be 60 days and not 3 months. Cancellation charges are high. I suggest increasing the basic fare rather than charging for cancellations. One does not get a ticket in the first place and than we are charged cancellation fees. Not fair at all. RAC should be removed. Extremely difficult for Senior citizens to travel in RAC. Leads to uncessary corruption of paying touts to get fixed berths. Dynamic Pricing is the worst scheme i see. Airfares are cheaper than the dynamic pricing. Faster trains should be introduced. more

Security of passengers on board and their belongings, quality of foods made available in trains, cleanliness and punctuality of trains should get priority. more

Still crimes are done inside moving rail. All rails including passenger train shall have security to safeguard the safety of the passenger. The securities travelling in the train should be held responsible for the crimes happening in the train. First security and then safety are very important aspects central government to look into. Crimes can happen at remote places but it happens in a moving train with lot of passengers .. . then it could not be assimilated. How the railway staff and securities, RPF are behaving, that also to be monitored and staff who are trying to conceal the crime should be punished severely. Punctual, food quality improvement, are coming later. more
