To my experience there is no element of protection or safety to passengers by RPF team . I frequently travel in 2nd A.C. coach between Patna to Bangalore , Delhi , Chennai and Mumbai . In the night seldom I have noticed any Police constable on duty . Often unauthorized persons enter into AC coach and there is none to check except travelling passenger. We pay highest amount of fare for our comfort and security but there is nothing provided to us for our safe journey. more
Railway Department staff, RPF should be vigilant & passengers also should aware. more
RPF staff of Railway is totally unreliable staff. Duty starts on first station and Duty ends on the next station. more
Get completely shocked by knowing railway has morphed into FAILWAY! http://tsvhari.blogspot.in/2015/01/failway.html more
Over the years of traveeling on train, I have experienced that the TTEs and RPF / Police Personnel sit more in AC coaches rather than their respective duty area / coaches. Strict instruction of not to leave the place of duty for TTE specially will reduce most of the theft, unauthorised entry in coaches etc and will save everyone's time more
Thefts in stations is a bigger problem. When I complain to the RPF, they only say that they cannot catch because they don't know how the thief looks like. This won't be the case if there are security cameras installed at all entry and exit points of a station. Then the passenger can identify and mark the suspect. more
