Railways Improvements in last 1 year

We are thankful to all members of this circle who have been giving inputs to Make Railways Better. With your inputs and our actions, hopefully we have made some positive changes in the last 12 months.

Today, we would like to seek your inputs on any specific positives you have experienced with Railways in the last 12 months.

WHETHER CHIT CHATING ON LOCAL CIRCLE IS OF ANY USE , I DO FEEL IT IS NOT EVEN ATTRACTING THE ATTENTION OF THE CONCERNED MINISITERY. FOR EXAMPLE FOR MAKING RAILWAY BETTER NUMBER OF SUGGESTION, COMPLAINTS FROM READERS MIGHT HAVE BEEN GIVEN, NO ONE HAD GIVEN A LOOK ON IT. AS I HAD EXPRESSED PROBLEM OF GETTING REFUND IN RESPECT OF TRAIN CANCELLED ON 27-08-2015, AND RAISED IN LOCAL CIRCLE ON 08-10-2015 HAS NOT BEEN LOOKED TO. IN THIS REGARD I AM CONTINEOUSLY REMINDING , BUT RESULT IS NIL. AS NO BODY IS SERIOUS ABOUT HIS DUTIES. HOW INDIAN RAILWAY COULD IMPROVE , IF FOR A TRAIN CACELLED ON 27-08-2015, REFUND COULD NOT BE PROCESSED TILL TO DAY , 16-10-2015. WHAT RATING COULD BE GIVEN FOR SUCH EFFICIENCY, IF THIS WOULD HAVE SELF APPRAISAL BY INDIAN RAILWAY THE SCORE WOULD HAVE 100%. REGARDS, more  
Yes.. i was travelling from Chennai to Tirunelveli. i got a phone call to inform me the details of my coach and also a SMS after a few minutes. when i boarded the train i got another SMS about the quality of service in the train. the train and station were clean.. to my surprise.. i found people cleaning the platform with soap water and there were no platform dwellers.. i could walk easily in the platform. the only drawback was the first class waiting room was very unclean. it was stinking and full of dirt all over. there was no place at all. Hope a bigger place is allotted for waiting room.. otherwise there is a 90% improvement in railways and train reached on time. even the tirunelveli station was clean more  
SOUTHERN RAILWAYS THOUGH BETER THAN OTHERS A LOT HAS TO BE DONE W.R.T FREQUENT FUMIGATION AND CLEANLINESS. LACK OF WATER IN TOILETS IS THE PROBLEM. more  
Cleanliness has improved in compartments and on stations. But a lot has to be done. more  
During last year November I made too and fro journey from Cuttack to Lucknow by Neelachal Express the food served was bellow standard. more
