Railways preparedness against Coronavirus

Holi is coming and a lot of people in North India travel to MP UP Bihar etc.

What is railways doing to prepare to handle coronavirus. The least it could do is place a soap dispenser in bathrooms and get cleaning done much more actively.

Other people suggest and LC please send this to rail mantri who seems totally disengaged. Suresh Prabhu atleast used to acknowledge things. more

Holi festival comes every year but Corona virus or such outbreak comes once in a blue moon. So this year avoid journey unless absolutely necessary. The whole country is experiencing difficulty. We should be reasonable and cautious and not callous. Today we learnt that a useless fellow travelled to Italy, came back with the virus, did not report to hospital in time about it, suppressed the fact, infected his own mother and the hapless lady died of the infection. So your attitude is your saviour. If you don't care about your own safety and that of your beloved ones in the family and friends, then die peacefully. Who cares? more
It is an important issue and the railway is expected to do the same. On Wed, 4 Mar 2020, 20:17 Anshu Saxena, wrote: > more
People blaming the government of negligence should know how many people have been screened at international airports from the date of the news of spreading of Covid-19. But asking Rail min to do all the work and you walking carelessly isn't going to work. the temperatures of patients vary during travel and sometimes patients do not show any symptoms of the virus. Even the shortage is due to hoarding of masks and sanitisers by private players and govt is trying to clear that situation as well. They have stopped export of pharma and medical supplies to other countries so that people here may not face shortage but you cannot tie hands of greedy people who tend to make money when situation is productive for them. One should take caution while travelling by Air, Rail or even Road. But do not get scared or spread rumours regarding the Virus or the so called treatments which can backfire. If you are not well and there are symptoms similar to Covid-19 you should go to the doctors ASAP. more
Let us be practicable and take self preventive steps. more
