Railways Toilet Cleaning System
One most important step that Indian railways have to take, is to improve the toilet mechanisms and cleaning system in railways at par with flight systems. Currently, the entire excreta and dirt is flushed out directly on railway lines, which causes excessive unhygiene and dirt across the whole nation. The filthy sites of excreta on railway lines is pathetic and beyond imagination of cultured and educated, but since the system of flushing out is such, it can not be expected from the cleaning staff to manage it.
We should replicate the toilet, excretas, collection system on the same lines of flights or western country railways. We can't let the dirt in open and expect the railway employees to do the dirty job. We should improve the working conditions of cleaners and supporting working staff , implementation of quality garbage disposal and management systems, and improve the hygiene of Indian Railways at par with any good examples in western countries and be proud of our nation. more

Health and sanitation across the rails/trains/station premises should be non negotiable priority for the railway management. Clhat ean toilets are a manifestation of the esteem that the society and thru it the government holds its citizens in. more

Very good point. I too support that excretes should not be dumped on the railway lines, instead one way is to allow the train to stop at a certain dump stop, which connects the toilet outlet to a drainage inlet. more

very true.I think Rail Toilets are going to be replaced by Bio toilets soon. Government seems to be very keen on putting a full stop to manual scavenging as well. more
