Railways - writing on the wall regarding EQ

I wish localcircles would have shared these poll results with us or may be I missed them.

I just pulled the report on railways emergency quotas and vip system below.

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/emergencyquotainrailways

We should all share this widely with our contacts so it reaches railways minister and chairman.

if they dont take action now, nothing can change in railways. Suresh babu did not take any action on this to keep his party mps mla and rail bhawan babus happy. goyal has to do it differently and be firm.

35000 bunglow peons in railways means we are in brit raj still. more

EQ system was introduced long ago. The conditions were different at that time and travel facilities were minimum. Now the conditions changed .many types of traveling options available now. Now EQ system is not required. If at all to be continued it has to have transparency in allotment method.Details of all the applicants be available for public view. allotment may done on priority based with prefixed priority weightage. And those allotments to be charges at suveedha or tatkal charges . Because the requirement is seat/birth not financial help. more
Yes , this must be stopped! In corporate world, you can employ peons at your cost and not from the Public money . more
Each Minister / Bureaucrat is always busy in pleasing their staff even by fleecing every now & then needy passengers. Let us hope new Minister will break the tradition. more
The EQ is meant for emergencies which include medical necessity but it is being misused by certain vested interests.Railways have to look into the matter and devise a procedure to prevent the misuse of the EQ more
