Rajasthan govt. behaving like "Liquor Mafia"
I am attaching news article 2 pages from a leading daily "राजस्थान पत्रिका" dated 03.06.2018 highlighting fleecing the consumers by Raj. govt. I also had first hand experience of this loot when I wanted to purchase some liquor & beer for a party. I was asked by the salesman to pay Rs. 110.00 for a Kingfisher can bearing Rs. 86.00 MRP.
Is it that liquor sales are exempt form laws of the land to issue receipt and to accept payment digitally , if so desired. When in Delhi liquor is available through digital payment then why Rajasthan can't do it.
Will some concerned authority take note of it and do the rightful or it is also another case of non-governance by Rajasthan Govt. "जब बाड़ ही खेत को खाये तो कौन बचाये".

beer is sold in all States like this, not on mrp. Liquor contracts are given on auction and owners recover their money from customers. govt makes money by auctions. nowhere you will find beer selling less 100 or even 110, 120, 130. I questioned it once, the man at sales counter threw me out saying - aise hi hota hai. leni he lo nahi to jaao ! they were behaving as if I am an ignorant person buying beer for the first time. more

Any purchase must be acknowledged with a bill for payment. In this case there is no bill and is charged more than MRP. How is it done? why are the authorities waiting for report? please set right the machinery. more

Instead of putting such posts and others commenting on it. If at all you want resolution for this and have a courage send written register AD letter to the Sales tax authorities stating that the shop is not issuing the Bill for the purchase. We common people are at the mercy of corrupt people every where. Starting with our elected representatives, shop keepers , police, tax authorities, municipal employees all of them more

I fully agree with the views of Mr Virmani. Complaints, such as in case under discussion, is ignored and the complainant get/feels harassed and takes no further action. With publicity of the case the authorities do take action to save their own skin. more

Sir, I refer to your comment. I feel there is nothing wrong in posting the issue here as it could be with a intention of informing others also on the existence of the problem, may be also in finding out advise as to how to take up the issue and where to take up and then how to take up. Sir, you may appreciate that many of the consumers are not even aware that they are facing consumer problems and most of them who seems to be facing problems are not even aware of the redressal system. It should be make mandatory to every shop owner to issue a bill and register .Govt should have to provide registrex and link with govt.sales office to moniter for sale and incometax .I have seen it in some country this registrx system.It would be worth sytem to curb such nuisense. more
