Marijuana has been proved to have many medical benefits. There are alternate therapies for Cancer and Glaucoma using Marijuana. It is now recognized by many countries like Australia and the US. In fact the present treatment for Cancer and Glaucoma are not found to be really effective. Only because of the pressure from Pharmacy lobby the ban on Marijuana continued for a long time. It is time Indian government health authorities recognized the positive aspects of Marijuana and lift the ban on its use. more

In spite of the knowledge and awareness, unfortunately many products are abused by using them for different purpose. It is prevalent all over the globe and at all times, past, present, and future. In view of this fact, I do not foresee any product such as marijuana will not be abused even after laws are made, implemented, and punishment is given to violators. But then the beneficial medicinal value of the product shall be definitely available to the society. It is in this context, I feel marijuana shall be allowed for medicinal use and medicinal quantities. more

Marijuana can be legalised because of following reasons 1) It can be used for treating some chronic diseases 2) It will stop unlawful trading and crimes associated with it 3) Jobs will be created by the marijuana industry 4) Govt. can levy tax on it and can earn good revenue more

Smoking marijuana is much more dangerous than alcohol or tobacco smoking. This can cause hallucination or other similar deadly side effects. It should only be used under expert medical guidance. more

Smoking marijuana is legal in the USA in licenced centres. When alcohol is allowed, why not this ? So long as it's not in excess every thing is okay I think. I'm sure it also has healing properties or atleast reduces pain and trauma. more

There is a huge battle going on in usa and Canada to legalize marijuana because of its immense health benefits and I am saying it from experience. Drug companies have maligned it to sell their drugs. Overdose of anything is bad including broccoli as it slows thyroid. Don't fall for western medication trap. more
