Rampant Corruption in EPFO
Yesterday two EPFO officials were arrested in Noida where I reside for taking 8 lakhs as bribe from some one who had a claim of 74 lakhs.
EPFO is one of the most corrupt central government organisations . Not sure if its just at the field level or the booty is shared upwards.
I think the officials dont even engage properly in the EPF circle also for reasons best known to them.
I urge localcircles to escalate this rut at the highest levels in the govt. i am sure Modi ji will take action to fix this body. more

Delayed action on the people caught, is making the system ineffective. the corrupt are not afraid since they know delay going to take place. more

Corruption in EPFO is a well known open secret. It is also because of the corrupt practices that the huge amount of personal money of EPFO members' is lying unclaimed and then transferred to new illegal Chapter VII of The Finance Act of 2015. The GoI is very much in the know of it but it appears they are not interested for obvious reasons. more

I have instances, where EPF Organisation employees even generate money for sanctioning refundable advance against EPF. For early sanction, they were adopting the method of "gift cheque" or "gift voucher". more
