Our Police force needs to be sensitized and de-linked from the politicians and their control only then can we expect them to perform their duties properly. The policing and investigating jobs also need to be separated so that the local policemen do not botch up sensitive probes as was the case in the Arushi- Hemraj murder probe. Police force' image is anti people and draconian and no one else except they themselves and their political masters are to blame for it, they still behave as if India is still under COLONIAL rule. Traffic police, to some extent, are the only one's doing a somewhat better job under difficult conditions and harsh weather, braving pollution and uncivilized people at the same time. more

Except New Delhi's lutyens zone and chanakya puri area, Delhi Polices' functioning is not very effective particularly the Delhi Traffice police. it is worst between Ashram Chowk and faridabad. Delhi Traffice police personnel usually left the traffic management on the shoulder of Delh metro security personnel guarding the construction sites. Traffic management is totally fail on the stretch between Jaitpur mod crossing on mathura road till jaitpur. it is despite the many complaints. On the basis of these fact we can rate Delhi police between 0 to 4 out of 10. more

The law and order in the I P Extention is deteriorating day by day. In last 15 days in Engineers Coop Society there were two cases of theft in the Flats by breaking the locks of the flat owner who was out of Delhi. Similar theft happen in the Kailash Appts of I P Extension.The modus operandi of the theft is similar. So there is a gang who is operating in this Area. The police deptt has to be more vigilant and require more patrolling during the night. more

I gave a written complaint along with audio recording to area police about extortion @ 7-8 lakhs being made by advocate after being fleeced by him, paying him 50 lakhs to get mutation of my self acquired flat done. he made a case of gift tax out of relinquishment done by blood relation,my daughters. This was submitted 1 month ago,I have not heard from police yet. So much is written about women/senior citizen safety? more
