Ration system of Delhi corrupt
CAG the auditor found corruption in the delhi government’s public distribution system where it said that 792 ration shop licence-holders were enjoying subsidised foodgrains that could have otherwise been given to the poor. Delhi’s quota of ration card holders has been full and no new beneficiaries are being added.

Yes. It is a known fact that ration distribution system is the most corrupt. It was suggested to Delhi CM to put the ration cardholders registered with a particular ration should must form a Whatsapp group so that the day/moment ration arrives for distribution to consumers, the Whatsapp Group members know immediately and arrange for collection within the time schedule. The ration shopkeeper must display the quality of the ration received by him which the cardholders accept or reject on arrival, for being worth consumption. more

Rations are scarce whenever the people visit such shops who are in dire need for these subsidised costs.The ration dealers are getting richer day in and out and no checks conducted nor valuation of assets of them are checked and verified to note how much he has prospered after being given the licence to become a ration dealer.If such steps are taken be assured the right deserving will get what is the share allotted by the Govt. more

Dear Amit ji, Who provided Licenses to these 792 Ration Shop? How long they have been operating like that? Is the report of CAG Auditor clarified in this regard? more

The entitlement of ration for BPL card holder must be ensured. A few suggestions:-
1. Link BPL card with Aadhar.
2. Link all family member's Aadhar with each BPL card holder to avoid duplicity and prevent multiple BPL cards for same family.
3. Quota for each person in family is fixed and linking with Aadhar will ensure other than entitled person none can draw.
4. Authorise each card holder to draw their quota from any of the Ration shops. No carry over of drawing or backdated drawing with online system.
5. Ration shops will raise its daily summary of disbursement and stock available. This will get tallied with online transaction data. Govt must ensure replenishment of ration as and when ration stock level at each shop falls below one week average requirements. more
