Rats, Roaches and Flies in Food Establishments

I have noticed that kitchens of even some of the fssai licensed restaurants have rats, cockroaches and flies in their kitchens.

Why isn't there a set fine (very high INR 10000-20000) so restaurant owners make it top priority to ensure pests and roaches are not there in the kitchens.

It will work towards the health of the consumers. more

Making kitchens of the hotels, restaurants & eating houses transparent to the customers should be made mandatory and provisions must be made for spot fixing of heavy penalty from anywhere ranging from Rs.10,000/- or above and multiply thereof depending upon the size & status of the establishment. This is the only way out of the menace. more
It is wrong on our parts to think that Govt should look after every thing. The way out is neglect such shops and restaurants and circulates it in the social media. Thanks more
Let's come back to the basics, folks! Any FSSAI approved kitchen has no business to have rats and cockroaches or even ants in their facility. If this is the Rule, any unit flaunting this Rule is a "culprit". The rest depends upon how "professionally" the Rule is practically applied..... more
Alertness by the owner is more important than the enforcement by fssai. more
