Receiving UCC by Telemarketers through SMS

I am receiving the UCC through SMS from telemarketers almost 2-3 SMS daily. Although I have registered my cellphone number in DND under fully blocked category. I have written to BSNL UP East regarding to stop UCC but no effect. After that I have sent mail to National customer preference registry helpline@nccptrai.gov.in. They replied write to service provider in this regard.

Service provider (BSNL) is not listening. I can not understand what is use of TRAI? Why it has been formed if it is unable to take appropriate action? more

Registering with DND does not make any difference. It is my personal experience. On Thu, Sep 28, 2017 at 4:19 PM, Dinesh Sharma wrote: > more
TRAI is almost an ornamental body and will issue guidelines and threatening to service providers. more
Nothing happens in India. TRAI is useless body favoring the operators. There is always the BAll game between the operators & TRAI. TRAI is responsible for framing the rules & successful implementation of the same. But it doesn't support the customer once he approaches the TRAI for any resolution. more
I too have same problem with Vodafone. I delete without reading. Since Supreme Court ruled in Aadhar case that privacy is a fundamental right, there is hope in violating privacy. Can 1 million of us join for a mass litigation asking 100 million compensation for violations of privacy and hence fundamental rights? more
Sir, in many many aspects of our daily life, Supreme Court is a spineless body. It has NO GUTS to crack a whip on these so-called Service Providers to to STOP this nuisance of unsolicited sms commercials being sent to its clients. SC should answer 'WHY THE HELL A COMMON MAN SHOULD GO HERE AND THERE to get these issues solved which are creation of service providers?' If they cannot, then they should say so openly so that people know their TRUE COLOUR. Then NO ONE NEED CALL IT 'SUPREME'. more
