RECENT NEWS ABOUT ' TICKETS OF LESS THEN 200 KM

RECENT NEWS IN NEWSPAPER THAT RAILWAY TICKETS ISSUED FOR LESS THEN 200 KM WILL BE VALID FOR 3 HOURS. IT MEANS THAT PERSON HAS TO BUY TICKET WHEN HE OR SHE REACHES RAILWAY STATION ONLY . WHEN WE TALK ABOUT SMART CITY AND WHEN WE ARE ALSO TALKING ABOUT GIVING PLATFORM TICKETS/ UNRESERVED TICKETS ON INTERNET , PERSON STAYING IN CITY WILL TAKE MORE THEN HOUR OR TWO TO REACH STATION. CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE LOGIC OF THREE HOURS. more

The restriction of validity for 3 hours must be removed. As clerkage for cancellation has been increased and in many cases in second class ticket the refund will be nil or meagre, the restriction of validity is not required. Moreover it is unreserved ticket . more
1 more issue is that the railway withdrawn the return journey tickets.lot of problem for daily passenger who travelled daily up down for job more
Another issue: What will happen if no. of trains in the route is very less and the train for which a passenger planned to go just passed away and the ticket holder couldn't catch it due to overcrowding. Another case: what if the trains are too late. One more complicated case: Journey of local trains in single/double-line routes take at least 4-5 hours to travel 200km as they have to give pass to fast/superfast trains. What would be the condition when a man reaches destination after the 6-7 hours of purchasing ticket (assuming he won't catch train immediately after getting ticket. He might have to wait for an hour or two hours.) more
I totally agree with Shri Brihaspati Patel. I just cannot understand what use will this serve or what will be lost if such a ticket (unreserved is issued, say 3 months before the date of journey)? more
