Reducing reliance on Chinese Imports :

On the heels of the above Resource post from the circle manager , I like to attach the picture of a simple consumer item that every house hold uses daily . It is the picture of a pack of cloths pins made of wood. In a village market complex [Eral, in Thoothukudi Dt. Of Tamilnadu ]
I saw in the shelves . You can see the cost as Rs.30 / for 20 pieces. That works to just Rs. 1.50 per piece . In India we will not even get plastic cloths pin at that rate .

What are the reasons ?
# Are the raw materials in India costly or not available ?
# Or the labour costly ?
# or the traders are gulping huge profits ?
# May be a good amount goes to authorities from these small and micro industries that is added on to the total cost to the common man ?

IF THIS PRACTICE IS ALLOWED UNABATED WE WILL BECOME A NATION OF TRADERS AND NOT MANUFACTURERS AT ALL.

WE WILL NOT DEVELOP OUR SKILLS FURTHER AND REMAIN RUBBER STAMPS FOR EVER .

THIS IS JUST ONE COMMODITY THERE ARE PLENTY MENTIONED .

SO AS CITIZENS TRUE TO INDIA SHALL WE AVOID THE PURCHASE OF ALL CHINESE PRODUCTS THIS COMING FESTIVAL SEASON .

* Kites made in China . Encourage and buy the locally made kites .

* Crackers made in china [Government has taken the first step to remove tax on Indian crackers – make the best use of it.]

*All electrical and festival lighting .

* All toys and items mentioned in the post Reducing reliance on Chinese Imports: Addl Inputs.

GOVERNMENT TO RENDER ALL HELP TO ENCOURAGE THE SMALL AND MICRO SCALE MANUFACTURERS. AUTHORITIES NOT TO HARASS THEM.
Encourage Indian Manufacture .

The products manufactured in China are of lower prices mainly because of their opaque subsidy regime and distorted factor prices more
We should follow laws of Taiwan, regarding Chinese Goods, in India. more
This is a serious issue. Our manufacturers depend upon huge profits and there is worst competition for the symmetrical products. They don't maintain even good quality so the common man is fascinated towards the Chinese market. Chinese market is totally runs through blackmoney. The bills are not prepared or issued to the buyers. So the importers get huge profits with good margin. We have to improve our mentality to use our own products and simultaneously our manufacturers have to improve the quality then only swadeshi goods will do something. more
Sir why implicate Chinese products/imports for taking over Indian consumer market - they are given to me what I want at a decent price whereas the local traders are charging for the same products 3 times of that ......it is a question of each Indian having the mentality of 'be India and Buy Indian' provided I get what I want at a fair price - else me and so many other people would prefer imports - its simple - it all about money sir more
There is a need that we should retrospect within ourselves and study, how China is producing  cheap goods, there should be research in Universities,  business management departments and develop business model suit to Indian conditions rather than abusing China or propogating for bye cot of China made goods, if every body  work for which he is paid, no wastage of human effort, people follow discipline shun habits to get free, enjoy on free, the goods is definatly going to be cheaper than China, India too can dominate the world  market.   Best RegardsS.C ThukralMob: +91 9419186848E-mail: scthukral@rediff.com, thukralsc@gmail.comFrom: "Jayakumar Daniel" Sent: Mon, 03 Jul 2017 09:18:41To: scthukral@rediffmail.comSubject: New picture "Reducing reliance on Chin..." in [Transforming India] more
do we require research and study business model when the same product I can get in a different place in India for much less price ...Sir pardon me for saying this but this research etc. is not the solution ...in fact is waste of time and waste of tax payers money ....lets us solve our own problems in simple manner which we can - as Sh. Jayakumar mentioned if I get clips at a cost, can we not get the same clips at a cost little higher taking into consideration transportation etc. and sell it in say a city like Mumbai - the point Sir is simple - what I get in a village or another place would cost me more say in a metro - there are external costs which are added to a product or service ... more
