ABOLISH DENGUE FEVER Dengue fever is a terror ,but we can abolish dengue fever by detecting & eliminating the PRIMARY BREEDING SITES of denguemosquito very easily due to a recent important research/observation as detailed below. It is logical that more mosquito should be present at the place where they are breeding or conversely if more mosqquitoes are seen at a place ,the breeding point is near by. Now ,we know that dengue mosquito bites in the morning.Due to this habbit, the dengue mosquitoes start biting in the morning any person sitting near the site of breeding & we can see large number of dengue mosquitoes hovering around persons sitting/standing in the morning near the place of breeding.Once we see the mosquitoes , we can search the drain which is having breeding.Any drain with stagnant water & little holes in it can have breeding. Dengue mosquito breed in clean water but that does not mean that it should be direct from tap.It just means that the water should be clear of mud so that the larvaes can swim in it easily.Just instill 15 ml of diseal in to every opening in drain & all larvaes shall die.If the actual or all the breeding site has been detected & treated, there should be no mosquitoes in the morning after 2-3 days but if the dengue mosquitoes still persist ,it indicates that the actual site of breeding has been missed & more efforts should be made to detect the actual site of breeding. In most of the cases the breeding site is easy to locate but in some cases it may be very difficult as it happened in one case when the breeding site was in the stagnant water in the basement of a house abandoned for many years. In this case the owner was called ,all balconies were got cleaned ,all neighbourhoods were searched for breeding place but the dengue mosquitoes persisted. Then the owner admitted that there is stagnant rain water in two rooms of the basement. Major sites which were detected are: 1.Abandoned toilet complex in a renowned commercial center as it was being used only to store the left over construction material. 2.Abandoned toilet complex in a school as new building was constructed . 3.Store of confiscated goods like drums, plastic trays several of them lying haphazardly in large number in the open. 4.A concreate over head tank with out a lid & without regular water supply on a public toilet complex in a shooping area. 5.Covered drains with little openings in colonies. 6.Discarded utensils on roof tops. 7.Tirpals used to cover furniture etc in furniture market. One may feel shy in looking at some one to see whether there are mosquitoes hovering around him in the morning. One can overcum it by starting a dialogue with him/her about any topic may be about his knowledge about dengue fever/dengue mosquitoes like are mosquitoes present in this area? & if so whether they bite in the evening or in the morning. While having a dialogue one should keep on observing if some mosquitoes are hovering around him or around his legsor feet.If found , they are dengue mosquitoes .Other mosquitoes are not seen in the morning as they have the habbit of hiding in the dark places in the morning. One can identify the dengue mosquito by looking for white streaks on iits legs when it is sitting on some part or alternately a mosquito can be killed by a swift action & examined by keeping it on a blck paper/cloth/leather/placti.The white streaks are better seen against a black back ground. Detecting the presence of dengue mosquitoes in the morning is a very important work for the society/for ourselves & will help in eradicating dengue fever for ever. The most important cause of why doctors avoid going to villages is their inadequate training in medical colleges. There is an urgent need for practical training , spot diagnosis skills and diagnosis with minimum investigations. Logical thinking about treatment modalities and rationale antibiotic use. The high expenses for medical treatments is to be minimized to get health care. The strict control on pricing of medicines is to be implemented to reducing the mounting expenses to treatment. more
I have gone through the document on Health care and feel that a clear cut actions that Govt.s can take need be indicated. In this respect I feel the following may be added as addendum: 1. a) Generic medicines only be prescribed in all Govt. and Public Sector Hospitals. b) Every Govt. Hospital keeping a medicinal stock for free distribution to patients should have a sale counter for general public, making generic medicines available to public. 2. It should be compulsory for all medical practitioners and hospitals to mention generic medicine in bracket against the trade name of medicine. 3. All hospitals Public or Private must give a copy of Dr.'s observations and prescriptions to the patient. This is not being done at present.
