Would advise all concerned to check flight safety measures of all airlines before you book your ticket. The spice jet is in red, therefore the airlines can't afford to provide safety measures as should be. You would unnecessarily cause in conveniences to your family just for few rupees. more
The same great FLYERS do not bother about their driving habits on the roads with their powerful vehicles. NO seat belts, NO speed control, Continuous honking just to clear the roads for them to travel without bothering about other persons. Hardly anyone stops at crossings to check traffic on left and right before crossing. 50% of the same drivers even break RED lights at crossings- all they do is check if there is any traffic Policeman around. Everyone should shun unsafe habits, INCLUDING travel by UNSAFE AIRLINES. Let us also accept that we need to pay more to airlines, who have lost substantial money over the past 3 years. more
I've flow the Bombardier pre pandemic many many times from Bangalore to Chennai and back with SpiceJet. Not once have I felt that the aircraft was unsafe. Of late, SpiceJet seems to be in the news for the wrong reasons. I don't think it's fair to tarnish Bombardier for what might be a SpiceJet problem. Hopefully, SpiceJet will also be able to solve their financial issues and be back to being a reliable and safe airline that offered competitive prices. more
To express concern about flight safety is an involuntary phobia of expressing solidarity with fellow traveller. All such people will continue to travel and also continue to express their concern about their safety just as his other fellow traveller said. I am an occasional traveller for last 35 years and travelled in variety of aircraft (including propeller) both civil and military. Accidents are accidents and it is no airlines's intention to subject it's customers to fear of safety and certainly not regulator's intention either. Let us leave the job of experts to them and co-operate with them by reporting genuine apprehensions based on evidence of specific instances. more
Fliers should shun travel by unsafe airlines. Public awareness of the lack of maintenance standards, oversight and pre-flight inspections, and utter disregard for passenger's safety should be played up. The DGCA, should get its act together and if possible a legal case be filed against them for lack of due diligence and ensuring of flight safety standards. more
