Refund complaint against Airtel
I had subscribed for 2 Airtel 4g mifi in Oct 2015, however from day 1 both the mifi could not even get a 2g speed for which I had been raising complaints from day 1. I was promised each time that the issue will be resolved. After using for 2 months the issue was not resolved and hence decided to deactivate and disconnect both the subscription. I had approached the Airtel gallery to request for deactivation and every time it was just a false commitment and never used to be discontinued. This went on till Jan 2016 when I sent a mail to Airtel customer service for deactivation. It was in the month of Feb 2016 when I was sent a rental bill for both the subscription with no data usage and I started receiving calls for non payment in March from Airtel recovery, eventually making me pay for the same. After long trail mail was sent to Airtel, where they admitted that they had charged me incorrectly for the last month, however they are not ready to refund the money directly to my account. They seem to have only one option where they can transfer the balance to any other Airtel no but cannot refund. I have been seeking advice from TRAI as well as from the misnistry of telecommunication but received no proper response. It is not only a matter of balance amount to be refunded but the way Airtel has dramatized the whole situation by way of marketing 4g speed and then cheating us for those months and eventually making us pay by coercion for the time I have not used it. I request you to kindly advise what should be the ideal outcome. I have the mails where they have admitted the refund but not by cash. Thanks in advance more
