Refund complaint against Airtel

Dear Sir,
I had subscribed for 2 Airtel 4g mifi in Oct 2015, however from day 1 both the mifi could not even get a 2g speed for which I had been raising complaints from day 1. I was promised each time that the issue will be resolved. After using for 2 months the issue was not resolved and hence decided to deactivate and disconnect both the subscription. I had approached the Airtel gallery to request for deactivation and every time it was just a false commitment and never used to be discontinued. This went on till Jan 2016 when I sent a mail to Airtel customer service for deactivation. It was in the month of Feb 2016 when I was sent a rental bill for both the subscription with no data usage and I started receiving calls for non payment in March from Airtel recovery, eventually making me pay for the same. After long trail mail was sent to Airtel, where they admitted that they had charged me incorrectly for the last month, however they are not ready to refund the money directly to my account. They seem to have only one option where they can transfer the balance to any other Airtel no but cannot refund. I have been seeking advice from TRAI as well as from the misnistry of telecommunication but received no proper response. It is not only a matter of balance amount to be refunded but the way Airtel has dramatized the whole situation by way of marketing 4g speed and then cheating us for those months and eventually making us pay by coercion for the time I have not used it. I request you to kindly advise what should be the ideal outcome. I have the mails where they have admitted the refund but not by cash. Thanks in advance more

Hi Kishorji Pls log a compliant formally to airtel traicomplaints & "121@in.airtel.com" Then you may involve TRAI & DOT Pls note the useful - Mail Address for your compliant: "secretary@trai.gov.in" "mcitoffice@gov.in" "secy-dot@nic.in" Also as suggested by Haraprashad ji you may log a compliant @ http://www.grahaksuraksha.com/. I am using Airtel , in Pimple Saudagar Area , which is known to be thick clientele of Broadband and internet user . Approx 45K users. Past 6 month experiences are 1. No point of contact to lodge compliant. You can not reach to CS helpline. The toll free no is for new connection and lost SIM. 2. Portal gives you all the Advertisement / Promotion of Airtel 4G and Service. 3. Their Advertisement in TV appears to be frustrated for the existing user. Atleast I am heart. 4. You need to maintain document for the artifact, as you don't have option to vent out your frustration. Which is a overhead on client. 5. Transparency of billing. Bill is raised without utilization figures. In fact - I never could use Airtel Service for the period from 22nd day of each month to 10th day of Next Month. My studies are share with TRAI & Sec DOT. It appears to be that TRAI had hardly any influence on resolving the issue. With a fare amount of expectation from Ministry of Telecommunication - today I marked a mail to Minister Shri Manoj Sinha , 105, 1st Floor, Sanchar Bhawan , 19, Teen Murti Lane, New Delhi 110011 Airtel Issue of poor speed from 20 day ~ 10 day of next month Contents 1. IMPROPER UTILIZATION 2 2. SIGNAL STRENGTH WEAK 3 3. SPEED TEST - GO IN INFINITE LOOP & NEVER ENDS 3 4. PURCHASED THRO SMART BUY 4 5. UTILIZATION AFTER 1 HOUR OF SMARTBYTE ACTIVATION 4 6. Airtel is the worst service provider of India for 4G. I have taken a $G hotspot prepaid connection just a month before and told I will get 2GB data free initially. It was a wrong commitment again I have complained about this and suggested from call center to first make a recharge of at least 1Gb to get that offer, so I did but again all the data(2Gb+1Gb) expired in two/three days, where hardly I have used it for few mbs. I have again try to contact the service center and they suggest to opt for post paid service where I will get all the details for my uses and they suggested for a monthly plan of 11Gb for Rs.1100 and I have submitted all the documents and photograph of self as they have required. Also promise me it will be active within next 24 hrs. I have applied it on last Friday Dt.29.04.2016 till date no response. They are giving huge TV adv to attract consumers and not providing any services after buying the devices. Even their website is designed such a manner, there is no contact no or mail you can find easily. more

mr Kishore, What I feel u should file a case in consumer court for their bad service and cheating. Otherwise u have to take airtel connection without 4G, with prepaid facility. Tell them to transfer the amount. Use that amount completely and if u feel to continue further then do so by paying the amount as per ur requirement.if u do not want to continue then tell them to disconnect while doing so let them know that u r disconnecting for their bad service, for giving false promise and also harassment. or If possible bad service of airtel and non response of TRAI against complain can be covered by any news channel then deaf ear will hear. more
