Refund on number potability
I had used number potability option to change from loop to airtel but still I am waiting for refund of the amount with loop. Request any guidance. more

Except the number, I mean your mobile number, nothing else is ported to new operator. For prepaid, any remaining balance with old operator lapses and with post paid, old operator will not port out your number till you clear their bill. For new/incoming operator, you are like a new customer who has to fulfill all formalities of a new customer like ID/Address proof, plan selection, etc. more

Govt. gave us wisdom to have facilities, but not designed a centralized system. In this regard, a centralized system is required to process all requests of no. portability, after submission of request of portability the operator have to process it and immediately transfer all relevant information to this system and now it is the duty of system to transfer the matter to the chosen operator with balance or levies etc. If we rely on so called operators they never turns up and if we pursue matter with TRAI etc. then up to the finalization of case we stopped using mobile phone facility. more
