Regarding clean Delhi
This can be done in two ways one through awareness and the other through rule of law and its strict implementation. In Delhi more is required is the rule of the law and its implementation very strictly, as we have many roadside eatires, our religious distribution of food in the form of Bhandaras, langar or parsad. People just collect it and after finishing it we through the remains as it is on the raodside. such require strict implementation of the anti littering law. more

who shall do it. it is happening as we have allowed it. Go to market tea vendor, fruit vendors and others have occupied the footpath. No problem they are earming their bread and butter. But what about the garbage out of their business. They should keep garbage bin as per their requirement. We bear it , accepted it as out destiny . Check Ramphal chowk , sweet shop owner has occupied free space near Vardhman chowk . You can not pass through. he has put dosa counter on one side tables on otherside. Interestingly most of resident of Dwarka are well educated and well informed. Is it possible for us to form a group and take corrective action in this regard. more

Well said, Anand. Why should we as a society need Rules, Enforcement and Incentives to keep our surroundings clean.? Is our state of evolution not reached to the stage, we do not require being told and guided and rewarded and punished just like animals under training are. The movement has to begin at Individual level progressing to Family, to neighborhood and to the Community. Attitude is important. more

dears Ravi, Daljit, Ranbir & Jeya kumar, a big big welcome to the thought-world of cleanliness......now to actualize this theme of cleanliness....1. the laws of not littering may or may not work, 2. providing dustbins would be great too....but what about our approach / who will tell us/our conscience ? or something else ? We can achieve cleanliness by the following ways - 1.giving rewards for cleanliness.2.Using cleanliness in a way that advertising is done through these dustbins.3.Using the concept of RECYCLING very minutely & delicately (wealth from waste),i.e. getting segregation done at source of degradable and non-biodegradable waste from each home/shop...build up an training system to use the rag-pickers more effectively.Uses for plastic wrappers of food stuff, boxes, covers of products,waste tubes/bottles etc.has been developed by me to a reasonable extent, now i want to set it up as a viable entrepreneurship model.....more after hearing from you friends more
