Regarding double fare from auto drivers.

I agree with Mr. Kapil. I also lodged the complaint with RTO office through mail but not received any reply from them. Every second day there are press release in the News Paper that the RTO office has seized so many autos for over charging, which seems to be incorrect as there is no fear in Auto drivers.

The procedure of complaining to RTO with proper details of Auto is also cumbersome and incorrect as, on most of the autos, the registration no. is not properly visible and also even if it is visible, there is no proof with us that he has overcharged. In this regard Noida Police also does not exten any help as they say that they have no powers to check on them for overcharging.

My suggestion like in Delhi, you can complaint to Traffic Police about overcharging. Same powers should be given to Noida Police also to address such complaints, simultaneously the RTO office should act little fast to address this issue on war footing basis. There are the complaints of fighting with Auto drivers as well.

Another suggestion, if Auto drivers demand of increasing fare is justified ( this is very for long time that are demanding the increase in fare), it should also be addressed by the Govt. more
