Regarding stray dog menace in India

Stray dogs in the whole of India are a dangerous hazard to the health and well being of Indians.

They regularly bite and cause rabies. Sometimes they even kill people. In addition to the above they also spread dirt and filth by defecating everywhere.

How can be remove them from the streets? more

All stray animals should be kept outside the city,in farm houses where that are fed properly and out used productively. K.C jain more
more
Mr. Chandra Mohan I totally agree with you. Other animals should also be removed from the streets to keep the public safe. There are a lot of foreign funded dog lover NGO's in India. They are doing a propaganda that stray dogs are not harmful and should be left to roam the streets and bite people. These malicious NGO's have filed PILs and cases in various courts and have got judgements in their favour. The government of India needs to immediately remove these harmful dogs from the streets. The solution which I propose is to send these dogs and other animals to the forests. There they can live in their natural habitat. A special law should be passed in the parliament which should be replicated by the various state governments and municipalities. more
spaying/neutering is the best method to control this. But, being a dog lover, i beg to differ from you, stray dogs normally do not harm human beings unless and otherwise, they feel unsecured of a shelter and proper food. In fact, they can easily identify the strangers to the area and alert the neighbours about this. But, when wastes are thrown on roads by public, these dogs fight among themselves to get their share and in the melee, in a fit of rage, public get irritated and chase them away by throwing stones at them. So, it is the responsibility of the local municipalities/corporations, to provide them anti rabbies shots periodically. And we, as human beings can be kind enough towards them. How many of us care for the dogs which are hit on the roads and in the National Highways, by us? we dont even care for them. So, let us first start sowing kindness and loveliness towards animals too. more
