I guess this segment needs higher regulation as the players are currently not held accountable for the service quality (i.e. the quality of education) they offer. The institutes ask you to sign a contract which is heavily loaded in their favour and absolves them of any failures. more  

Yes. You can approach consumer redressal forum if the coaching institute does not agree for a refund. I remeber there has been some consumer court verdicts wherein refunds have been ordered. Two I remember is from Delhi and Bangalore. Though I do not have the reference readily available now but you can search the internet for such judgements. more  

I agree to the point that every class in school should have 20 students that will eliminate need to go to coaching class. But the question is that when there are vacancies presently how they are to find teachers for 20 students class. more  

The point is about coaching classes not refunding money in case the students change their mind. There is no regulation to that effect - secondly coaching institutes are facing this major challenge where a student agrees to join a class and later withdraws ......in fact it is a loss for the institution......imagine joining a school and then asking the school for refund ... more
